Corruption Empowered Cabals

 Indian polity post independence has successfully evolved a philosophy of coming to power through vote bank politics imbibing the Chanakya's policy of SAAM, DAAM, DAND, BHED ignoring saam ( dialogue and discussion) completely and harping on daam i.e. bribing and buying, dand i.e. punishing and forcing into submission and finally bhed i.e. divide and rule through many layers of empowered centres called cabals. These corruption empowered cabals exist in all walks of life, be it polity, bureaucracy, media, judiciary and form a continuous chain from top to bottom working on the principle of 'lick my boot and be blessed' for juniors and 'you scratch my back, I will scratch yours' amongst equals. This not only led to mediocrity instead of meritocracy in all walks of life but placed corruption, bribery, tax theft and evasion and criminal abilities at a premium. What was the right of 1 billion plus individuals became the right of a miniscule minority of maybe half a percent and a huge loss of trillions of dollars to the nation.
